Yes the tweeter install is a bit rough

Is that the way your tweeter will be? It doenst look properly finished. Cant you saw a cirkle in the plasticy bit so that the tweeter will fall in properly? That should not be too hard to do (I have to do that myself)

oh cool you even got the clear plastic on the door frame back together again!
I always have problems getting it back together. Whenever I need to remove the shit to get in the door, I can never get it back on right.

It looks like it’s the finished product. Don’t question the man. He’s already put it back together and is proud of it so much, he posted it on the internets.

I would like to get a nice set of component speakers for my Miata. Would definitely sound much nicer with the top down. I'm already running 150w rms to each door via am alpine amp so I could definitely get some good sound with that.

It’s quite rough, but I didn’t have any template to work with and it was quite hard working on something with such an extreme angle. This way the tweeter actually points at people (it is also directional adjustable) and I’m not limited to the factory bracket. I actually did buy some black Sugru so I’m going to make it less rough.

I only had to lift off a section of it as I had to remove the stock crossfader, splice in new connectors, and use some mastic tape for whatever needed to be taped back.

My lossless FLAC Fleetwood Mac albums sound better than ever before. My Smoking tire podcasts don’t crackle. It’s good enough for me.
